Italian Citizenship by Descendancy

I worked closely with a client and their family to trace their paternal lineage and support their application for Italian dual citizenship. This project involved identifying the first ancestor to immigrate from Italy to the United States and documenting the family’s residence history in New York City across multiple generations. Drawing on my expertise in immigration and naturalization records, I located and acquired the ancestor’s naturalization proof—an essential element in confirming the client’s eligibility for citizenship by descent. I provided a detailed guide outlining the necessary forms and supporting documents for the application process, along with tailored advice for hiring a trusted Italy-based researcher to complete the in-country portion of the work. This project reflects my deep understanding of U.S. immigration history and the complex documentation required for international citizenship claims.​
